When moves change at the last minute: what we can flex
Delayed completions, pushed-forward dates, route changes. What we can do and what we can't.
Moves change. Completions slip. Buyers pull out. Dates get brought forward. Here's what's usually flexible and what isn't.
If your date has moved forward and you now need a mover quickly, our short-notice removals service explains how we assess availability, access and move size when the diary is tight.
Flexible
Date changes with 48+ hours' notice. If we've got availability.
Address changes (new property, different access) with 24+ hours' notice.
Extra services added day-before (packing, part-clearance, storage overnight).
Extra stop en route: a pickup or drop-off along the way.
Hard to flex
Same-day cancellations. Once you’ve confirmed your date, the deposit becomes non-refundable and the crew has been blocked out for the day.
Date changes when we're fully booked through the following month. We'll always try, but sometimes no.
Address changes that change the vehicle we need. If you booked a 3.5-tonne and now need a 7.5-tonne, that's a new quote.
Storage for slipped completions
If your new property isn't ready on the day, we'll load, take it into safe, secure storage, and deliver when ready. Priced per crate or container, with the rate and any minimum stay set on your quote.
This is the single best safety net for chain moves where completion dates wobble.
What we need from you
Phone call rather than email for time-sensitive changes. We watch the phones on move days; email we check in quiet windows.
Clear destination address for any change.
Revised parking arrangements if the new address needs them.
Policies in writing
Full terms and conditions at /terms-conditions cover all of the above. Short version: we'll do what we can, we'll tell you honestly what we can't, and we won't charge extra without explaining why.
