Domestic removals explained: start to finish
What happens when you book a full domestic move with us, step by step.
The full domestic removal is our core service. Here's what it covers, in order.
Step 1: Initial quote
Quote form submitted or phone call made. We need: from/to postcodes, property size, preferred date, any specific requirements (packing, storage, stairs, parking).
We come back with a quote inside two working hours.
Step 2: Survey
For anything 2-bed and above, a video walk-through or in-person visit. 15 minutes. Confirms the quote is accurate.
We also use this to flag anything that might need specialist handling or a bigger crew.
Step 3: Booking and deposit
Date confirmed, 10% deposit secures the day. Balance due on completion.
Step 4: Pre-move prep
Packing crates or boxes delivered (if we're packing, or if you want to self-pack with our materials).
Parking permits applied for if needed.
Inventory drafted and emailed to you for review.
Step 5: Move day
Crew arrives in time for your window.
Floor runners, door protection, corner guards down first.
Loading follows a plan: heaviest items first, lightest last, fragile items packed last so they come off first.
Inventory checked and signed before departure.
Step 6: Delivery
Arrive at new address.
Walk the floor plan with you.
Unload in reverse order: fragile first, then main furniture, then remaining boxes.
Beds assembled, furniture placed, boxes in the right rooms.
Step 7: Settle-in
Rubbish collected, packing materials taken away, final walk-through. Final invoice settled.
Step 8: After
Packing crates collected 1–2 weeks later if you used them. We'll agree a date on the move.
